PIR
PIR sensors detect movement by capturing the infrared radiation emitted by people or objects in the specified area and measuring the change in temperature.
Infrared Beams
Active Infrared Beams, also referred to as Photo Beams, provide an active detection methodology - the transmitter beam sends a continuous signal to the receiver beam creating a point to point detection.
Dual-Technology
Outdoor volumetric protection with an infrared sensor is good, but in challenging environments and conditions, dual-technology sensors provide greater benefits.
LiDAR
REDSCAN is our award-winning LiDAR security system that identifies the size and distance of a moving object. LiDAR is an acronym for "light detection and ranging".
Fiber Optic
Optical pressure sensors detect a change in pressure through an effect on light. If the fibre sensor is put under pressure by someone climbing a fence, for example, then this is recognised and will trigger an alarm.
Bring the power of complementary technologies together
OPTEX’s wide range of solutions based on passive and active infra-red, microwave, laser and fibre optics technologies can be integrated with IP cameras, Network Video Recorders and other security devices, providing users with a complete security system where local or remote monitoring stations can be alerted in the event of an unwanted intrusion. Cameras can track the object providing an accurate and fast visual verification, the incident events can be monitored in real-time, the images recorded, and an appropriate response determined.
ONVIF compliance
OPTEX have an increasing number of devices that conform to ONVIF Profile-S. This communication standard enables our IP sensors to integrate with other devices in the security network with more flexibility and ease of implementation. OPTEX devices with built-in camera can communicate directly with recorders and Video Management System (VMS) platforms such as Genetec, allowing customers to harness the power of the complementary technologies to achieve the most effective security system.
